Today is the final day before our beloved robot leaves its birthplace of Northfield High school all the way to Duluth for competition. We are getting our trailer that was graciously donated by Erik Frank with Re-max all loaded up. Every item that is put in will be packed nice and neat for best space use and for easy unloading. Let us give a big cheer out to our Wed. team for taking the robot up tomorrow with all our gear and getting everything set up and looking nice and neat ( robotics standard clean). Thanks, guys and be looking out for new posts about how our competition goes. Until next time. BYE
Hello everyone, today is bag day we will be having a live stream at 3 PM make sure to be there! we will be going till 10 tonight. so far this build season has felt very fast, but we have made a lot of progress, tonight you should see mostly the pit area, bumper construction, driving practice, and final adjustments.
Hello everyone, may I introduce to you, Troy! We are getting close to the end of build season and, while we are not done with our robot, we will make it, I believe in us! With Troy, we have built a cargo intake system and a hatch panel claw. We have built scale models of the game pieces scattered around the field. Our programmers have been hard at work getting proper code to run our robot and it is glorious. We will be updating our robot page soon with wonderful pictures of Troy. That's all for this week!
Today is the launch day of learning this years 2019 FRC challenge and it was a blast. We already knew it was space themed but nothing more. This year we have to go to space and cover our spaceship and cargo ship with hatch panels then fill them with cargo. Starting out there is a dust storm and you cant see so your robot has to either be autonomous or you have to control it from a camera. There is one cargo hold and 2 rockets per team. 40 points total for cargo ship and 30 points total for rocket complete. 2 points per hatch panel and 3 per cargo plus 3 points across the line and 6 to start on level two. Today we will set up teams to work on planning different parts of the robot so we can make a robot that will hold up and do better than everyone else while being on time so we can test it. Let's have a great winning year!
We are starting off the robotics year strong. Getting the newbies to see all the things they can work on to help. Getting the veterans to take charge and show all the newbies how to do things they don't know yet but will be leading in the future. Finding people who can sponsor us, and much more. Lets have a great year.
Still working on the robot. New ideas are being implemented, and things are going well.
until next time
Well, it is midway through the build season. We are making lots of progress on our robot. The lifting team has gotten a working model lifting blocks. The gearboxes are fully completed and implemented into the robot. We are currently debating whether to build a climbing mechanism or depend on a powerup. everything is good
Will keep you posted
Well, Its finally build season! This years theme is FIRST POWERUP. So far, we have split into different teams working on the robot. We have build replicas of both the Switch and the Scale. We have been testing prototypes and figuring out the new mechanisms. This years game is unique because instead of set tasks for the robots, it is about timing, and use of the power ups, which can tip the game one way or another. Our robots battle for control of the Switch and Scale to earn points per second.
Well that's all for now....
Until next time,
Tonight we are working hard at getting important stuff done before the build the season in 4 days, where it can be working on fixing the robot and working on the skeleton and chassis, or working on build a new tool chest for us, or working on helping us raise money, even small stuff like walking around to find some way to help in any way possible.
Well, 13 days till Christmas, and 3 days till The Last Jedi! Another important day coming up is Jan 6th, the beginning of Build Season! WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! The team is frantically sending out fundraising letters, updating+preparing stuff, and trying to decide the the answer to the age old question...Are coconuts Mammals?
